No! Animals have no intelligence!

To all the people that think it is ‘pushy’ or ‘forceful’ to tell others to go Vegan:
I don’t think I’ll ever understand why people choose to go vegan/ vegetarian yet say that the people telling others to go vegan are wrong. Doesn’t that go against every reason why you chose to go vegan? We are the only ones who have the voice to tell people to stop slaughtering/ abusing animals, and you’re choosing to stay quiet? Why?! Do you not feel like you should be forcing your ‘Belief’ upon others? Because Animal Slaughter is NOT a belief! It’s not a story people choose to believe, it’s not a philosophy about how we came about, it’s not one person we choose to worship, nor is it a set of rules we choose to live by, it’s a fact and if we weren’t able to train ourselves into thinking it isn’t as bad as it really is, then everyone would do something about it.
There is no reason to be against the rights of animals other than greed, pleasure and power. You may think we were made to eat animals, but if there was no one to kill the animal on your plate for you, would you go out your way to hunt an animal down for your needs? If not, why? If yes, then do it rather than being lazy and relying on the people that abuse and beat the animals beforehand. Animals are not here to clothe us, to feed us or to give us our power.
If someone was to tell you that over a million people had been slaughtered in a few days by a group of men, would you continue saying ‘Oh that’s fine, I respect their beliefs, and they can keep doing it if they want.’ If you said yeah, then why? Is it because you think people deserve more rights then anything else in the world? Is it because you think the amount of space we take up, and harm we cause to the world defines the amount of power we have? WAKE UP AND OPEN YOUR EYES! We’re all animals! And we should be defending the ones without voices!
You have a voice, use it! What have you got to lose, that animals haven’t already lost?

Friday’s Fur Asshole:
Sharon Stone
While Ms. Stone’s career may need some CPR (her last big movie was 2006’s Basic Instinct 2—and we all know how that bombed), sadly there is nothing that can be done to save the innocent animals that she wraps herself in.
If no one bought fur, there would be no market for it, and people would stop selling fur. By being a consumer to the terrible fur industry, Ms. Stone has blood directly on her hands. How can see sleep at night?
I am an activist. I’ve always have been. I’m not the kind of person who can sit back and watch bad things happen. Once I have been informed, I feel as though it is my responsibility to relay that knowledge and do what I can to make a difference.
As a consumer, you’re an activist. Simply not buying product that supports cruelty makes a difference, but I encourage you to take that a step further. It certainly isn’t an easy job, but it is the most rewarding.
Saving just one animal won’t change the world, but surely it will change the world for that one animal. #vegansofig
My friend Chris Hoar (Pet Pardons founder) just wrote a beautiful piece on his Facebook about his experience with Shannon Keith (Beagle Freedom Project founder) and their rescue of the El Cajon 10. I want to share with you what he wrote because it moved me to tears. This is from Chris:
The beagles were rescued from a research and it is estimated they are between 5 and 10 years old, and every single one of them had most likely never even seen daylight before. ‘Research’ beagles are usually confined to a cage 24 hours a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They are not socialized, they are not exercised, they are not played with, they simply have no idea how to be dogs. They had scars all over their bodies where they had been injected with God only knows what, they had been cut open and poorly stitched back up (many of the wounds were either bleeding and or badly infected) most of them had advanced tooth rot & decay, and a lot of them were clearly in pain.
Beagles are used for ‘research’ and ‘testing’ because they are the most docile, loving, gentle and forgiving of all dogs. They will not fight back, they will not attack you no matter how much torture you inflict upon them and so they are ‘easy’ to ‘work’ with. What’s even worse to me is that the vast majority of ‘testing’ is done for 2 categories, products (such as household cleaners) & cosmetics/personal care products. Do we really need to test eye liner and dish soap on dogs?”
If you would like to find out more about these beagles & the Beagle Freedom Project,or you would like to become a foster parent for one of these beagles then please go to: http://beaglefreedomproject.org You can help these poor babies every day by NOT buying anything tested on animals. #vegansofig

All About Non-Dairy Milks!
Soy Milk
Soy milk is made from filtered water and whole soybeans. This milk is the most popular dairy alternative and has the closest nutritional profile to cow’s milk. While most brands of soy milk contain the same amount of protein, vitamin D and calcium as cow’s milk, other brands of soy milk do not contain any added vitamins or other nutrients. So, always keep your eye on ingredients lists and nutritional information before you make your purchase.
Almond Milk
Almond milk is a great alternative to cow’s milk when you are looking to cut calories. This nut milk is made from almond base containing filtered water and ground almonds. The bad news about almond milk is that it contains very little protein—just 1 gram per cup. Though most varieties of almond milk are fortified with vitamins and other nutrients, there are others that don’t contain vitamin D or calcium.
Hemp Milk
Hemp milk is made from hemp nut base (filtered water and shelled hemp seed) and contains a slew of healthy nutrients including calcium, vitamin D and a moderate amount of protein.
Rice Milk
Rice milk is a nice option when you want something with a neutral flavor. Though some feel that rice milk is not as creamy as other non-dairy milk alternatives, when fortified, it usually does contain the same amount of calcium and vitamin D as cow’s milk. But if you’re looking for protein, this probably isn’t the milk for you.
Oat Milk
Oat milk is made from oat groats, filtered water, and other grains and beans. If you have a soy allergy, make sure to read the label before buying oat milk as some varieties contain soybeans. Oat milk is mild, with a hint of sweetness and packs a punch when it comes to calcium and vitamin D (again, only if fortified with these nutrients). This powerful grain-based milk also contains 4 grams of protein per cup.
Hazelnut Milk
Hazelnut milk has a smooth, creamy texture and is made from hazelnut base (roasted hazelnuts and filtered water). Like almond milk, hazelnut milk contains far less protein than cow’s milk. However, this dairy alternative can contain up to 30% DV of calcium and 25% DV of vitamin D per cup if it is fortified.
Coconut Milk
The new cartons of coconut milk popping up in the dairy section are not the same as the canned coconut milk you purchase to make your favorite Thai dish. The ingredients found in refrigerated and shelf-stable coconut milk cartons include coconut cream (water, coconut, guar gum), cane sugar and added nutrients. Canned coconut milk simply contains coconut water (juice). Coconut milk is a good alternative when you want something creamy and sweet. Though this milk offers 30% DV of vitamin D and 50% DV of vitamin B12, it contains little added calcium and just 1 gram of protein per cup. If you’re looking to reduce you saturated fat intake, keep in mind that coconut milk is the only non-dairy milk we’ve seen that contains as much saturated fat as whole cow’s milk.
Updated my photos! :)

Our second rescue from beagles who have lived their entire lives inside a research laboratory. These beagles have known nothing except the confines of metal cages. They have known no soft human touch, no warm bed, no companionship, no love. They have never been outside or sniffed a tree or grass.
Finally, after years of being poked and prodded, these beagles are FREE! ARME got the call that a facility was willing to release them to us after they had been used in several tests. We picked them up on June 8th and now they are all in loving foster homes, and one has already been adopted. (Click here too see the video).
I can never not reblog this. I’ll never understand what kind of monstrous person could live with themselves after treating any animal this way. I hope every animal tester and vivisector rots.
look at the last pic -so happy that he/she is shaking its tail <3Aww, fuck animal testing :/

Foie Gras… just forced fed ducks and geese, process so violent that many die with their organs ruptured or choked on their own vomit… forced feeding aims to bloat their livers up to 10 times the normal size, this will leave them unable to stand, developing infections, sometimes liver necrosis, spleen damage, bruised and broken bills and lumps in their throats… the animals are kept in poor conditions, small and dirty cages… and then, as you can see in the picture, the liver is harvested - according to the source - while they are still alive.
